Job Description

Oak View Group (OVG) is a globally recognized leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services. Founded in 2015, OVG boasts a dynamic platform that encompasses venue development, management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. The company supports a diverse and prestigious portfolio that includes seven world-class venues and an extensive client roster featuring some of the most iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions across four continents. OVG combines innovative approaches with a commitment to delivering exceptional live experiences, making it a major player in the global entertainment and sports arena industry.

The Marketing Coordinator role at OVG is a part-time position located at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky. This role is pivotal in supporting marketing initiatives not only at Rupp Arena but also extends to other key venues like the Central Bank Center, Lexington Opera House, and Gatton Park. The hourly wage for this position is $15.00, reflecting a fair compensation aligned with the responsibilities and industry standards. Additionally, part-time employees enjoy benefits including a 401(k) savings plan and matching contributions, highlighting OVG's commitment to employee well-being and future financial security.

As a Marketing Coordinator, the individual will engage in a variety of supportive marketing tasks fundamental to the successful promotion and operational marketing activities of multiple event venues. Key responsibilities include assisting with the distribution of promotional materials, supporting marketing activations both behind the scenes and in front of audiences, contributing creatively to content development, and executing grassroots promotional campaigns. This role demands versatility and the ability to collaborate across departments within the marketing team to enhance the audience experience and promote venue events effectively.

The Marketing Coordinator also plays a crucial role in managing and developing branded merchandise (SWAG) and marketing collateral tailored for diverse uses such as artist staff needs, giveaways, and community collaborations. Furthermore, there is an emphasis on leveraging digital media and social platforms—such as Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram—to reach varied fan bases and optimize event engagement. The position requires coordination with marketing management, ticketing, and booking teams to ensure timely content delivery and effective communication strategies are implemented.

In this role, the Marketing Coordinator will maintain meticulous records of marketing collateral and track content updates, ensuring accuracy and current information dissemination. Regular involvement in cross-departmental meetings, including box office, marketing, and booking (BOMBS) meetings, provides an opportunity to contribute ideas, monitor project timelines, budgetary considerations, and spending related to marketing campaigns.

Beyond these duties, the role includes general administrative support functions, requiring the candidate to be organized, proactive, and adaptable to the dynamic nature of live event marketing. Importantly, Oak View Group champions diversity and inclusivity within its workforce, recognizing that a diverse team fosters innovation and drives excellence in service delivery. The company's culture emphasizes respect, equity, and representation across all its operations.
