The company owns and operates some of the most well-known venues and premium seating experiences across the United States and internationally. OVG’s focus is on enhancing live event experiences through exceptional entertainment services and innovative food and beverage offerings. With a commitment to creating memorable experiences for guests, Oak View Group emphasizes quality, customer service, and operational excellence in all aspects of its business.
This position is for a Line Cook at the SRP Park location in North Augusta, South Carolina, a dynamic venue operated by Oak View Group encompassing hospitality and food service under premium seating and concessions. This role is part-time and regular, offering an hourly wage between $13.00 and $18.00 and is eligible for tips. Additionally, part-time employees have access to benefits such as a 401(k) Savings Plan and matching contributions. The position is evergreen, meaning applications are accepted continuously without a set deadline.
The Line Cook is an essential team member responsible for preparing and serving high-quality, fresh food to guests throughout the venue. This role requires direct interaction with the public, working in areas such as buffet lines, slicing meats or producing made-to-order dishes. The role demands maintaining sanitation, health, and safety standards while ensuring timely delivery of food items with proper portioning and garnishing. Collaboration with culinary leadership like the Executive Chef or Kitchen Supervisor is required for menu planning and food consumption estimates.
The typical work environment is fast-paced and event-driven, requiring the Line Cook to be adaptable and proactive in a team-oriented setting. This role involves using a variety of kitchen equipment, including broilers, steamers, convection ovens, mixers, meat slicers, and chef’s knives. A critical component of the job is demonstrating excellent attendance and availability to work as scheduled during events. Maintaining communication courtesy and professionalism with coworkers, management, and guests is also vital to fostering a positive working environment.
This position demands prior experience as a cook or prep cook and the ability to follow company recipes and portion control standards. Knowledge of food safety protocols, including possession of a valid food handling certificate (or ServSafe certification as preferred), is necessary to comply with state and federal regulations. Candidates must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently to engage effectively within the team and with guests.
In summary, this Line Cook position at Oak View Group offers an opportunity to work within a respected company in the live events and hospitality industry, serving diverse guests while refining culinary skills in a supportive, dynamic, and evolving work environment. Benefits, continuous application opportunities, and competitive hourly pay make this role attractive for those passionate about food service and live event hospitality.
