Job Description
Oak View Group (OVG) is a global leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services, specializing in venue development, management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. Founded in 2015, OVG operates a portfolio of seven world-class owned venues and services some of the most iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions globally across four continents. The company is renowned for its innovative approach to creating engaging live experiences and maintaining top-tier service standards within the sports, entertainment, and events industry.
The Line Cook position at Oak View Group is based at the NBT Bank Stadium in Syracuse, New York. This is a part-time role within the Food Services & Hospitality group, specifically under the Concessions and Premium Seating category. The role offers an hourly wage of $18.50 to $20.00 and includes benefits such as 401(k) savings plan and matching. This position remains open until August 14, 2026.
As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, freshly prepared foods to guests throughout the venue. You will often work directly with guests, preparing dishes to order while ensuring portioning and presentation meet company standards. This position requires adherence to sanitation, health, and safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment. The Line Cook will also be responsible for reporting maintenance issues with kitchen equipment, assisting in menu planning with the Executive Chef, and participating actively in team-based assignments to ensure seamless service during events.
This role demands excellent attendance and availability to work during scheduled events based on business needs. Working in a fast-paced, energetic, and event-driven environment, the ideal candidate must have strong communication skills, the ability to operate standard kitchen equipment (broilers, steamers, convection ovens, knives), and a keen attention to detail to ensure food quality and presentation standards. Previous cook or prep cook experience is highly preferred, along with possession of a valid food handling certificate or ServSafe certification if required by local regulations.
Joining Oak View Group means becoming part of an organization that values diversity and inclusion, fostering a culture that celebrates different backgrounds and viewpoints to drive innovation and excellence across its services. OVG is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing an inclusive work environment free of discrimination. This role offers not just a job but the chance to contribute to the success of a leading global entertainment company that is dedicated to making a positive impact within the industry and the communities it serves.
