Job Description

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a cook or prep cook preferred
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment such as broiler, steamer, convection oven, and knives
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Must maintain excellent attendance
  • Valid food handling certificate or ServSafe certification if required by law

Job Qualifications

  • Previous cook or prep cook experience highly preferred
  • Able to operate standard kitchen equipment including broiler, steamer, convection oven, and chef knife
  • Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • Possess a valid food handling certificate if required
  • ServSafe preferred

Job Duties

  • Provide high-quality, fresh food products in a timely manner for guest delivery
  • Prepare hot and cold foods following company recipes and portioning requirements
  • Participate as a team player with responsibilities related to preparation, service, and product delivery
  • Report any maintenance required for kitchen equipment
  • Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas
  • Observe and test foods to ensure proper cooking
  • Portion, arrange, and garnish food plates for delivery
  • Consult with Executive Chef to plan menus and estimate food consumption
  • Demonstrate excellent attendance
