As part of their commitment to excellence, the company is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Line Cook to join their team in a part-time capacity. This role is essential in preparing and delivering high-quality food offerings to guests throughout the venue, ensuring that all culinary standards and safety protocols are met. The position pays an hourly wage ranging from $18.00 to $22.00, including eligibility for tips.

In this role, the Line Cook will be responsible for preparing fresh, high-quality food items for delivery in a timely manner while adhering to company recipes and precise portioning guidelines. The successful candidate will participate actively as a team player, contributing to all stages of food preparation, service, and presentation to meet the high standards expected by Oak View Group. Additionally, the Line Cook must be vigilant in maintaining sanitation, health, and safety standards in all work areas, contribute to the upkeep and reporting of kitchen equipment maintenance needs, and collaborate with its culinary leadership to plan menus and estimate food consumption for events. Excellent attendance and flexibility to work during scheduled events are crucial to ensure seamless service throughout the venue.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous cooking or prep cook experience preferred
  • Availability to work evenings weekends and event days
  • Valid food handler certificate if required by state law
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain sanitation standards
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Demonstrated punctuality and reliability

Job Qualifications

  • Previous cook or prep cook experience is highly preferred
  • Able to operate standard kitchen equipment including broiler steamer convection oven mixer meat slicer and chef knife
  • Ability to communicate with employees coworkers volunteers management staff and guests in a clear businesslike and respectful manner
  • Ability to work well in a team oriented fast paced event driven environment
  • Possess a valid food handling certificate if required by state and federal regulations
  • ServSafe preferred

Job Duties

  • Responsible for providing high-quality fresh food products in a timely manner for delivery to guests
  • Prepares hot and cold foods following company recipes and portioning requirements
  • Participates as a team player with specific responsibilities related to preparation service and delivery of product
  • Responsible for reporting any maintenance required for kitchen equipment
  • Maintains sanitation health and safety standards in work areas
  • Responsible for observing and testing foods to ensure proper cooking
  • Responsible for portioning arranging and garnishing food plates for delivery to guests
  • Consults with Executive Chef or Kitchen Supervisor to plan menus and estimate expected food consumption
  • Demonstrates excellent attendance punctuality and reliability
