The role of Kitchen Utility Worker at the McAllen Convention Center is a crucial position within the culinary team, designed to maintain the cleanliness and efficiency of the food service operations.   • Possess valid Food Handling Certificate

Job Duties

  • Dishwashing dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and cooking utensils by hand or with a machine
  • Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen areas, dining rooms, equipment, floors, drains, and storage areas, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing
  • Removing garbage and cleaning trash containers
  • Storing clean items properly, stocking supplies, and keeping work areas tidy and organized
  • Assisting chefs and cooks with basic food prep and other tasks as needed
  • Following all health, safety, and infection control regulations, including proper handling of chemicals and food safety protocols
