The Food and Beverage Supervisor position at Oneida Casino in Green Bay, Wisconsin, is a full-time role designed for individuals who thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments. The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the serving of guests in the venue dining areas and during catering functions, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills as the supervisor will interact with guests, staff, and management regularly. Critical responsibilities include assisting Food and Beverage Managers with various projects such as training, inventory management, and support during special events.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years supervisory experience in restaurant or catering environment
  • valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required by state or federal regulations

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1-2 years experience working in a supervisory capacity in a fast-paced restaurant or catering environment or applicable education
  • ability to supervise the work of others
  • ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff and guests in a clear, business-like and respectful manner which focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic and cooperative work environment
  • ability to speak, read and write in English
  • ability to be self-motivated in fast-paced, busy environment
  • possess valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required by state or federal regulations
  • ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly
  • ability to calculate basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) as they relate to POS cash/credit transactions, cash reconciliation and product inventory

Job Duties

  • Oversee the serving of meals to guests or directing guests in all venues
  • supervise the service of beverages to guests including alcoholic beverages
  • check guest's ID to verify minimum age requirement for alcoholic beverage purchase
  • help team maintain sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas
  • show demonstrated ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance and help the team to do the same
  • assure that location equipment is operable and clean prior to start of event
  • recognize guests who are visibly intoxicated and take action to cut off alcohol to such individuals
  • enforce all policies and procedures for staff and guests
  • practice excellent human resources skills regarding employee relations, corrective action, coaching and counseling employees and complete all necessary HR related paperwork
  • assist management team with projects including training, inventory and special events
  • perform all other duties as assigned by managers and supervisors
