The Food and Beverage Supervisor position is a full-time, regular role located at the Oneida Casino in Green Bay, Wisconsin. This role is essential in providing excellent guest service within the venue's dining areas and catering functions. The Food and Beverage Supervisor is responsible for overseeing meal and beverage service, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and supervising staff to meet the company’s high standards. This position pays an hourly rate of $21.25 and requires excellent attendance and flexibility to work scheduled events. The supervisor also assists Food and Beverage Managers with training, inventory management, and special events, playing a crucial role in maintaining operational excellence.

This role demands a personable individual capable of thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities include supervising the serving of meals and alcoholic beverages, verifying age for alcohol purchases, and managing guest and employee interactions according to company policies. The supervisor must be attentive to guests’ needs and enforce safety standards, including identifying and managing visibly intoxicated guests. Additionally, the supervisor supports the management team in employee relations, coaching, and completing human resources documentation. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • at least 1-2 years experience in supervisory role in food and beverage or related field
  • valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required by law
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to stand and move for extended periods
  • ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1-2 years experience working in a supervisory capacity in a fast-paced restaurant or catering environment or applicable education
  • ability to supervise the work of others
  • ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff and guests in a clear, business-like and respectful manner which focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic and cooperative work environment
  • ability to speak, read and write in English
  • ability to be self-motivated in fast-paced, busy environment
  • possess valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required by state or federal regulations
  • ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly
  • ability to calculate basic math functions related to POS cash/credit transactions, cash reconciliation and product inventory

Job Duties

  • Oversee the serving of meals to guests or directing guests in all venues
  • supervise the service of beverages to guests including alcoholic beverages
  • check guest's ID to verify minimum age requirement for the purchase of alcoholic beverages
  • help team maintain sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas
  • demonstrate excellent attendance and assist the team in doing the same
  • ensure location equipment is operable and clean prior to start of event
  • recognize guests that are visibly intoxicated and take action to cut off alcohol
  • enforce all policies and procedures for staff and guests
  • practice excellent human resources skills regarding employee relations, corrective action, coaching and counseling employees and complete necessary HR paperwork
  • assist management team with projects including training, inventory and special events
  • perform all other duties as assigned by managers and supervisors
