The role of Events Manager at PeoplesBank Arena offers an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the execution and success of events hosted at this renowned venue. Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in event management sports administration public relations marketing business administration or related field
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in event management or support roles
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights weekends and holidays
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to occasionally lift heavy objects
- CPR certification preferred
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in event support at a public assembly facility or related field
- Bachelor’s degree in event management sports administration public relations marketing business administration or related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Preferred experience with AutoCAD
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to occasionally lift heavy objects
- Computer proficiency in word processing spreadsheets databases presentations and internet software
- CPR certification preferred
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service in stressful situations
Job Duties
- Plan service and manage arena events including hockey and basketball games concerts and family shows
- Meet with facility clients to determine event needs
- Provide direction to operations and support staff including audio visual telecommunications setup custodial maintenance security and marketing personnel
- Prepare event drawings layouts diagrams instructions setup requirements and documentation and communicate changes
- Submit service requests to schedule event staff according to client requests
- Resolve set-up changes and ensure compliance with fire building and safety codes
- Serve as facility representative at events enforce policies resolve problems and complaints
- Maintain effective working relationships with staff contractors and facility users
- Coordinate with municipal officials to ensure security of patrons and smooth event execution
- Assist in building preparation for upcoming events
- Complete pre-show financial estimates and post-show settlements
- Guide and assist event staff in job performance and patron issue resolution
- Improve operations streamline workflows and provide quality customer service
- Execute event contracts and rental agreements
- Liaise between facility users and staff
- Prepare written event evaluations and cost estimates
- Maintain accurate records and files
- Participate in committees
- Create and distribute detailed data sheets prior to events
- Assist with scheduling IATSE union labor and EMS fire police event staff and security
- Coordinate with Finance and Food and Beverage departments
- Serve as Manager on Duty as scheduled
- Work flexible hours including nights weekends and holidays
- Perform other related duties as required
