Job Description
Oak View Group (OVG) is a global leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services. Established in 2015, OVG operates with a comprehensive platform that includes venue development, venue management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. The company is known for managing an impressive portfolio of world-class venues that include arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions across four continents. OVG's aim is to provide seamless and exceptional experiences for guests and clients alike, ensuring every event runs smoothly and securely.
One of the key locations where OVG delivers its world-class service is the Crown Complex in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The Crown Complex is a state-of-the-art facility consisting of five versatile venues: a 4,500-seat arena, a 9,200-square-foot ballroom, a 10,880-seat coliseum, a 60,000-square-foot exposition center, and a 2,440-seat theater. This complex hosts a wide variety of events throughout the year, including sporting events like ice hockey and indoor soccer, family shows, concerts, and special productions. It serves as the home arena for the Fayetteville Marksmen hockey team (SPHL) and the Fayetteville Fury indoor soccer team (NISL).
The Event Security role at the Crown Complex is a vital position that ensures the safety and security of all guests, staff, and property during events. This part-time position offers an hourly wage of $45.00 and includes benefits such as a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions, even for part-time employees. The role requires a consistent professional and courteous demeanor as it involves direct guest interaction and the responsibility of promptly responding to various security issues.
The primary responsibility of the Event Security team is to provide a secure environment by performing routine safety inspections, monitoring the premises before, during, and after events, and facilitating emergency procedures when needed. These security professionals also assist guests and staff by providing information, escorting individuals upon request, and protecting venue assets from damage or theft. Additionally, they manage lost and found items professionally and uphold a neat appearance while in a complete uniform.
Special security assignments may also be required during non-event days or nights, offering opportunities for additional engagement beyond scheduled events. Alongside maintaining safety, this role supports the overall guest experience by demonstrating a positive, customer-focused attitude and strong attention to detail. The work hours often extend beyond traditional business hours, including nights, weekends, and select holidays, reflecting the nature of events hosted at the complex.
Oak View Group values diversity and inclusivity, recognizing that diverse teams drive innovation and excellence. The company is committed to creating an inclusive work environment where all employees feel valued and empowered to bring their best selves to work. The Event Security position welcomes candidates from diverse backgrounds, emphasizing equal employment opportunity without discrimination based on protected classes.
