Job Description

Oak View Group (OVG) is a global leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services, known for its comprehensive platform that encompasses venue development, management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. Founded in 2015, OVG serves an impressive roster of world-class venues and clients, including iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions across four continents. The company is widely respected for its innovative approach and commitment to excellence in delivering top-tier live entertainment experiences. OVG prides itself on a diverse and inclusive team that drives innovation and strengthens service quality while celebrating the communities where its venues are located.

Among the venues operated by OVG is the Crown Complex in Fayetteville, North Carolina, a premier location that hosts a variety of events ranging from sporting competitions and concerts to community gatherings and cultural celebrations. The Crown Complex is committed to providing safe, memorable events for its patrons and maintaining an environment that supports both guests and staff.

The Event Security position at the Crown Complex is a part-time role responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all events hosted at the venue. This position offers a competitive hourly wage of $45.00 and provides essential benefits such as a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions. Working as part of the security team, the Event Security professional plays a crucial role in maintaining a secure environment by performing duties before, during, and after events, as well as on some non-event days or nights when special assignments may arise.

The primary responsibility of this role is to provide direct service to guests and staff, which requires exhibiting a professional and courteous demeanor at all times. The security team must be vigilant and responsive to a range of situations, including fire alarms, medical emergencies, potential threats, and general inquiries. This includes conducting thorough building safety inspections, ensuring adherence to all established security protocols, and protecting all equipment, materials, and structures within the Complex.

The role demands a strong commitment to keeping the Crown Complex safe, secure, and welcoming. The Event Security personnel are expected to maintain a neat and professional appearance by wearing a complete Cumberland County deputy uniform and adhere strictly to all regulations. Additional responsibilities include turning in lost and found items, escorting persons as needed within the complex, and supporting other duties assigned by management.

The position requires availability beyond traditional business hours, including nights, weekends, and selected holidays, reflecting the varied schedule of events at the Crown Complex. Successful candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills, a high level of attention to detail, and a positive, customer-focused attitude. Being an active-duty Cumberland County Deputy is a vital prerequisite for this job, reinforcing the importance of professional law enforcement experience in maintaining the venue's safety standards.

Oak View Group emphasizes a culture that values diversity and inclusivity, recognizing that a diverse workforce fosters innovation and excellence. As an equal opportunity employer, OVG is committed to providing a workplace free from discrimination and promoting mutual respect among its staff. The Event Security role at the Crown Complex offers a meaningful opportunity to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering safe and exceptional live event experiences.
