The Crown Complex, located in Fayetteville, North Carolina, is one of the premier venues managed by Oak View Group. Situated in the heart of Cumberland County, this state-of-the-art complex encompasses five unique venues including a 4,500-seat arena, a 9,200-square-foot ballroom, a 10,880-seat coliseum, an exposition center with 60,000 square feet of unobstructed space, and a 2,440-seat theatre. The Crown Complex serves as home to the Fayetteville Marksmen hockey team of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) and the Fayetteville Fury indoor soccer team of the National Indoor Soccer League (NISL). It also hosts a wide variety of sporting events, family shows, concerts, and special productions year-round, making it a vibrant hub of entertainment in the region.
The Event Security position at the Crown Complex is a vital role responsible for maintaining the safety and security of all events held at this multi-venue facility. This part-time position offers an hourly wage of $45.00 and includes benefits such as a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions for part-time employees. The role is focused on delivering exceptional security services while upholding a professional and courteous demeanor toward guests, staff, and visitors.
As an Event Security team member, you will be entrusted with a variety of responsibilities that ensure the smooth and secure operation of events. Your duties will include responding promptly to requests for assistance during incidents such as fires or medical emergencies, conducting safety inspections before and after events, protecting venue equipment and materials, and adhering strictly to established security protocols. You will provide essential support to guests and staff by addressing inquiries and escorting individuals within the complex when needed.
This position requires an individual who can work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and select holidays, to accommodate the event schedule. The ideal candidate will be a current active-duty Cumberland County Deputy with a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to a customer-focused, positive attitude. Wearing a complete and neat CC deputy uniform at all times, you will represent Oak View Group’s commitment to safety and professionalism.

Job Duties
- Respond to requests for assistance from staff and visitors for a variety of security issues including fire and medical emergencies
- Perform all event and non-event security duties as assigned
- Conduct building safety inspections including pre-event and post-event safety checks
- Follow all established security procedures
- Answer information requests from staff and guests during events or as needed
- Protect equipment, materials, and structures throughout the work schedule
- Provide regular security functions within the Complex and related areas prior to, during, and after all events
- Maintain a clean, neat appearance with a complete CC deputy uniform
- Turn in all lost and found items to the Event Manager on duty when applicable
- Provide escorts of persons to and from locations within the complex when requested
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management
