Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year university or college
- 3-5 years of relevant event management experience
- knowledge of facility management and event operations
- familiarity with budget management
- excellent communication and organizational skills
- ability to lead and work with various teams
- proficiency with event management software
- valid driver's license or ability to obtain
- commitment to safety and compliance
- flexibility to work event hours including weekends and evenings
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality Management, or Business
- 3-5 years of event management or related experience
- working knowledge of facility management principles and equipment
- experience with budget preparation and control
- strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills
- excellent oral, written, and presentation skills
- commitment to professional development
- strong problem-solving and communication abilities
- knowledge of event operational characteristics
- knowledge of crowd management and control
- knowledge of supervision, scheduling, and training
- knowledge of fire and public safety regulations
- familiarity with A/V equipment and electronic systems
- proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- knowledge of Ungerboeck, Social Tables, AutoCAD, Vector, or similar software
- CMP certification is a plus
- valid driver's license or ability to obtain one
Job Duties
- Acts as the central contact during all phases of event management for clients and contractors
- receives, assembles, and distributes event information to facilitate client requirements
- provide leadership and guidance for event personnel
- oversees and manages all event-related services to meet client expectations
- ensure team members and clients are familiar with safety and emergency procedures
- coordinate and utilize the event records management system
- work with team members to maintain positive customer service
- handle coordination of Event Work Orders and Change Orders for finance billing
- enforce building policies, procedures, and regulations
- provide on-floor management of event-related services
- set up and coordinate primary and pre-event meetings
- provide complete on-site schedule and records
- manage budget and vendor relationships
- conduct pre, during, and post event walkthroughs
- guide clients on contract provisions, policies, and procedures
- ensure exceptional service to clients
- maintain constant communication to organize logistics
- send daily post reports during load-in, event days, and load-out
- proficient in forecasting, financial and database management
- prepare post-event settlements in coordination with finance
- perform other duties as assigned
