The Event Changeover Specialist position at the St. Charles Convention Center is a part-time role dedicated to supporting the set-up and tear down of events, along with performing general housekeeping and custodial responsibilities. This role offers flexible scheduling options with days, evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts available to accommodate varying availability. Compensation ranges from $18.50 to $19.50 per hour, with a premium of $5 extra per hour for shifts worked between midnight and 5 AM. This role is integral to maintaining a high standard of event presentation and venue cleanliness, ensuring clients receive top-tier service from start to finish. Responsibilities in this position include arranging event furniture and equipment such as risers, tables, chairs, staging, dance floors, and pipe and drape systems; executing cleaning checklists to prepare rooms for events; operating various cleaning and snow removal machinery; and safely handling cleaning supplies. This role also requires proactive communication with supervisors regarding any facility issues or equipment defects and delivering excellent customer service to both internal teams and external clients.
