Job Description

Oak View Group (OVG) is a global leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services, renowned for its expertise in venue development, hospitality, and venue management. Since its founding in 2015, OVG has rapidly grown to operate a distinguished portfolio of venues, including iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions across four continents. OVG's approach focuses on delivering exceptional experiences to fans, artists, and partners, making it a pivotal player in the entertainment and sports industry worldwide.

Among the company's premier venues is the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center in Tallahassee, Florida. This vibrant arena boasts a seating capacity of 12,500, 34 luxury suites, 476 club seats, and over 54,000 square feet of flexible meeting and exhibition space. The arena serves as the home court for Florida State University's men's and women's basketball teams and is renowned for its electric atmosphere and passionate fan base. Beyond sports, the Civic Center hosts a diverse array of events, including concerts, trade shows, large catered functions, receptions, religious services, and educational classes. Its notable features also include the Spotlight Grille, an arena-view restaurant providing guests with quality dining experiences during events.

The role of Dishwasher at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center is a part-time position offering an hourly wage of $15.50. This role is vital to maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all tableware, serving materials, cooking equipment, and small wares within the food service areas of the venue. The Dishwasher plays an essential part in ensuring the smooth operation of food and beverage services by guaranteeing that all utensils and equipment meet the highest standards of hygiene and safety.

This position demands reliability and commitment to excellent attendance, as the dishwasher must be available to work during scheduled events, which may vary in timing and size depending on the venue’s calendar. Duties extend beyond dishwashing and sanitation to include maintaining the overall cleanliness of loading and receiving areas, properly stocking cleaned items, and occasionally assisting with food preparation during busy periods. The candidate will be expected to follow established M.S.D.S. criteria and implement food and product safety policies rigorously, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.

Ideal candidates will have some prior experience in kitchen environments and demonstrate the ability to thrive in a team-oriented, fast-paced, and event-driven setting. Communication skills are crucial since the dishwasher will interact with coworkers, management, and sometimes guests, requiring a courteous and professional demeanor. Additionally, candidates should be capable of operating standard kitchen equipment such as broilers, steamers, convection ovens, mixers, meat slicers, and chef knives. A valid food handling certificate may be required, depending on state and federal regulatory guidelines.

Oak View Group embraces diversity and inclusion, promoting a culture where differences are celebrated and drive innovation, service excellence, and community connection. This commitment makes the Dishwasher role at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center not just a job, but an opportunity to contribute to an organization dedicated to positively transforming the live sports and entertainment experience.

The position remains open until August 28, 2026, inviting motivated individuals seeking part-time employment with competitive pay and the possibility of contributing to one of Florida's most dynamic entertainment venues.
