Job Description

Oak View Group (OVG) is a globally recognized leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services. Since its founding in 2015, OVG has established a prominent presence across four continents, managing a diverse portfolio of world-class venues that includes arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions. These venues are supported by OVG's comprehensive platform, which spans venue development, venue management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. OVG's commitment to excellence and innovation has made it a top choice for partners seeking to host major live events in a professional and dynamic environment.

One of OVG's premier venues is the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center, located at 505 West Pensacola Street in Tallahassee, Florida. This state-of-the-art arena features a seating capacity of 12,500, complemented by 34 luxury suites and 476 club seats. The facility also offers over 54,000 square feet of meeting and exhibition space, an arena-view restaurant called the Spotlight Grille, and serves as the home court for Florida State University’s Men’s and Women’s basketball teams. Beyond sports, the Civic Center hosts a wide range of events, including concerts, trade shows, large catered functions, receptions, religious services, and educational classes, thereby playing a vital role in the cultural and community life of Tallahassee.

The part-time Dishwasher role at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center is a vital position within the Food & Beverage team, directly contributing to the smooth operation and sanitation standards of one of Tallahassee’s premier event destinations. This position offers an hourly rate of $15.50 and includes attractive benefits such as participation in a 401(k) savings plan and employer matching contributions, specifically designed for part-time employees.

As a Dishwasher at the Civic Center, successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation for all tableware, serving materials, cooking equipment, and small wares. This ensures that all items used during events are safe and contamination-free for reuse. The role demands a strong commitment to sanitation protocols and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, event-driven environment. Attention to detail is critical as the dishwasher is required to stock clean items appropriately and maintain cleanliness in food service areas and equipment. In some instances, additional support may be needed to assist with food preparation activities.

This position requires excellent attendance and flexibility, as employees must be available to work scheduled events according to business needs, which can include evenings and weekends. The ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively as part of a team is essential. The ideal candidate will have some previous experience working in a kitchen or food service environment, be familiar with food safety practices including the handling of food and products according to M.S.D.S. criteria and local regulations, and where applicable, possess a valid food handling certificate.

Working as part of the Oak View Group team means being part of an organization dedicated to diversity, inclusivity, and equal opportunity. OVG values the unique experiences and perspectives each team member brings to the table, fostering an environment of respect and cooperation that drives innovation and excellence across its venues.
