Job Description
Oak View Group (OVG) is a global leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services, with expertise encompassing venue development, management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. Since its founding in 2015, OVG has established itself as a key player in the entertainment industry through ownership and management of world-class venues and partnerships with iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions across four continents. This widespread presence highlights OVG's commitment to delivering exceptional experiences at some of the most prestigious events and locations worldwide.
Located within this dynamic company is the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center, a flagship venue under the OVG umbrella situated in Tallahassee, Florida. The Civic Center boasts a 12,500-seat arena equipped with 34 luxury suites, 476 club seats, and over 54,000 square feet of meeting and exhibition space. Its amenities include the Spotlight Grille, an arena-view restaurant, offering a unique dining experience for guests. The arena serves as the home court for Florida State University’s men's and women's basketball teams, renowned for their energetic atmosphere and passionate fan base. Beyond sports, the venue hosts a wide array of events such as music concerts, trade shows, catered functions, receptions, religious services, and educational classes, making it a versatile and vibrant hub in the community.
The part-time Dishwasher position at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center offers an hourly wage of $15.50 and includes benefits such as participation in a 401(k) Savings Plan with matching contributions. This role is integral to the food and beverage team, ensuring that all tableware, serving materials, cooking equipment, and small wares are meticulously washed and sanitized to meet the highest standards of health and safety. The dishwasher not only supports food safety and sanitation but also contributes to the overall efficiency and cleanliness of food service operations within one of the busiest and most prestigious entertainment venues operated by OVG.
In this role, the employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work during scheduled events, which may vary depending on the business needs. Given the event-driven nature of the venue, adaptability and reliability are essential qualities. The dishwasher's responsibilities extend beyond basic cleaning tasks to include proper handling of cleaning chemicals in accordance with Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) guidelines, maintaining safe and clean loading and receiving areas, and occasionally assisting with food preparation. This multifaceted role demands a strong work ethic, teamwork, and a commitment to upholding the venue's reputation for excellence.
