The role available at this venue is part-time Dishwasher, offering an hourly pay rate of $15.50. This position is integral to the food and beverage operations at the Civic Center, ensuring that all dishware, serving materials, cooking equipment, and small wares are properly washed and sanitized to maintain the highest health and safety standards. The Dishwasher will work in a fast-paced, event-driven environment and must demonstrate excellent attendance and reliability to support various scheduled events throughout the year. Job Requirements

  • Must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work scheduled events
  • Must adhere to health and safety standards including sanitation protocols
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks
  • Must be able to follow instructions and work cooperatively in a team
  • No prior certification required unless mandated by law

Job Qualifications

  • Some experience working in a kitchen atmosphere is helpful
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with employees, co-workers, management staff, and guests
  • Possess a valid food handling certificate if required by state and federal regulations
  • Able to operate standard kitchen equipment including broiler, steamer, convection oven, mixer, meat slicer, and chef knife

Job Duties

  • Wash and sanitize all tableware, serving materials, cooking equipment, and small wares
  • Maintain highest sanitation levels for all items to prevent contamination
  • Utilize and implement M.S.D.S. criteria, food and product safety, and Food and Beverage policies and procedures
  • Remove all trash and maintain loading and receiving areas in safe and clean condition
  • Stock plates, glasses, pots, utensils, and pans after cleaning
  • Clean and sanitize all food service areas and equipment
  • Assist with food preparation when required
