The Donald L. Tucker Civic Center, affiliated with Florida State University and managed by Oak View Group, seeks a dedicated Culinary Baker for a regular part-time position. This role plays a crucial part in supporting the center’s largest catering events, which frequently serve over 2,000 guests. The ideal candidate for this position is someone with experience in a quality-driven restaurant, bakery, or hotel setting who displays passion, creativity, and a standard of excellence in their baking craft. While bakers are preferred, exceptional culinary talents who excel in producing elevated event offerings will also be considered.
The Culinary Baker at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center will contribute to the facility’s goal of raising the standards for both presentation and execution of its event menus. The position involves significant interaction with the public, as well as collaboration with culinary leadership to improve kitchen efficiencies and cater to large-scale events effectively. This role demands exceptional attendance, flexibility to work variable schedules including evenings and weekends, and a consistent commitment to quality and professionalism. Employees in this role will be compensated at an hourly rate ranging between $20.00 and $25.00.

Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3+ years of experience in a quality-driven restaurant, hotel, or bakery
- valid food handling certificate or equivalent (ServSafe)
- ability to work evenings and weekends
- strong communication skills
- ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
- excellent attendance record
