Job Description

Oak View Group (OVG) is a global leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services. Founded in 2015, OVG has rapidly grown to serve some of the most iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions across four continents. With a platform spanning venue development, venue management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales, Oak View Group specializes in providing end-to-end solutions that elevate the live entertainment experience. The company owns seven world-class venues and works with a distinguished client roster, making it a powerhouse in the global entertainment industry.

The Donald L. Tucker Civic Center, located in Tallahassee, Florida, and operated under the umbrella of Florida State University, is one such premier venue within the Oak View Group portfolio. This facility boasts a 12,500-seat arena, 34 luxury suites, 476 club seats, over 54,000 square feet of meeting and exhibition space, and a notable arena-view restaurant called the Spotlight Grille. The arena is well recognized as the home court for Florida State men's and women's basketball and is renowned for its vibrant atmosphere and strong home-court advantage. Aside from basketball, the venue hosts a variety of events including music concerts, trade shows, large catered events, receptions, religious services, and educational classes, serving as a versatile hub for entertainment and community activities.

The position available is for a Culinary Baker on a part-time basis at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center. This role offers an hourly wage ranging from $20.00 to $25.00 and is ideal for individuals currently working in quality-driven restaurants, hotels, or bakeries. The Culinary Baker will be instrumental in executing elevated event offerings that meet and exceed guest expectations. This includes direct interaction with the public, as well as collaboration with culinary leadership to streamline kitchen operations and enhance overall efficiencies. The role demands an individual who is not only technically proficient in baking, but also one who can contribute innovative ideas to advance the culinary program. Maintaining impeccable standards of timing, presentation, sanitation, health, and safety are integral to the position.

Candidates must be flexible in their availability, as the schedule includes evenings and weekends, reflecting the nature of event-driven work. This is a key position within the venue's culinary team, as it directly impacts the successful and profitable operational standards of the business.
