The company is recognized for its commitment to delivering exceptional live experiences through innovative venue solutions and comprehensive event support, making it a prominent player in the sports and live entertainment industry worldwide.
The Columbus Clingstones play at Synovus Park, a modern minor league baseball and entertainment venue located in Columbus, Georgia. Synovus Park serves as the home field for the Columbus Clingstones, the Double-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves, and hosts 69 professional baseball games each season. Besides baseball, Synovus Park acts as a year-round destination for diverse events, facilitating gatherings for over 5,200 fans with the capability to expand for larger occasions. The venue is a central hub for sports and entertainment in the Chattahoochee Valley region, featuring state-of-the-art amenities and a vibrant atmosphere.
The Concessions Lead position is a regular part-time role at Synovus Park within the Oak View Group, offering an hourly wage ranging from $16 to $18. This role is vital to ensuring the efficient and professional operation of food and beverage services during events at various concessions stands, bars, and portable locations inside the ballpark. The Concessions Lead oversees day-to-day operations, directs team members including employees and volunteers, and collaborates closely with the Concessions Manager and Oak View Group's leadership team on initiatives such as training, inventory management, and special event execution.
The ideal candidate in this role must be personable and adaptable to work effectively in a constantly changing, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include overseeing the preparation and setup of concession locations prior to events, maintaining sanitation standards, ensuring operational readiness of all points of sale, managing food production levels based on expected attendance, and enforcing safety and company policies. The Concessions Lead also plays a critical role in supervising the service of alcoholic beverages, verifying guest age compliance, monitoring guest satisfaction, and handling transactions accurately.
This role demands strong leadership skills, as the lead will train and mentor event staff and volunteers, promote a positive working environment, and provide consistent operational oversight to meet speed of service and guest satisfaction standards. Additionally, the Concessions Lead is expected to manage challenges such as addressing safety concerns immediately, ensuring all equipment is clean and functional, and assisting with premium services and special event needs. Excellent attendance is required, along with the readiness to cover any open positions to uphold full operational capacity.
