Job Description
Oak View Group (OVG) is a globally recognized leader in the premium live entertainment infrastructure and services sector. Established in 2015, OVG has rapidly expanded to become a dominant force in the industry, offering a comprehensive platform that includes venue development, venue management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. The company supports a diverse portfolio of world-class owned venues and collaborates with an extensive array of iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions across four continents. This global footprint allows OVG to shape memorable live event experiences through its innovative approach and expert operational capabilities.
One of OVG's key partnerships includes its role as the main Food & Beverage partner for Missouri State University Athletic and Entertainment Facilities, servicing venues such as Plaster Stadium, Great Southern Bank Arena, Juanita K. Hammons Hall, Hammons Student Center, and Betty and Bobby Allison Soccer Stadium. This vital collaboration exemplifies OVG's commitment to delivering high-quality, efficient food and beverage services in vibrant, large-scale event environments.
The Concession Supervisor role at Missouri State University represents an exciting part-time opportunity within this dynamic setting. This position is primarily responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of concession stands during various events, ensuring seamless service delivery and operational readiness. The supervisor will work under the guidance of the Concessions Manager, managing on-site staff and volunteers, monitoring food production, controlling inventory, and supervising cash handling procedures. A key element of the role involves training team members to maintain best practices and guest service standards, thereby guaranteeing an enjoyable and safe experience for all patrons.
Given the nature of the venues and events, the Concession Supervisor must be comfortable working outdoors and capable of responding flexibly to operational demands, including stepping in to support different positions to maintain service quality and guest satisfaction. Additional responsibilities include supervising alcohol service to ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies, maintaining sanitation and equipment standards, and enforcing a safe and harassment-free work environment in line with Oak View Group’s strict policies.
This position offers a competitive hourly wage of $15 per hour and includes benefits such as eligibility for a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions, even for part-time roles. The job provides a stimulating work environment that combines the energy of live events with the opportunity to develop valuable supervisory skills in the food and beverage industry. The Concession Supervisor role is ideal for individuals seeking part-time work, whether as an extra gig or a stepping stone into a broader career in event management or hospitality.
