The Ventura County Fairgrounds is hosting the seasonal Ventura County Fair event from July 29th to August 9th, and Oak View Group is seeking a seasoned Bartender for a part-time seasonal role during this period. This position is based at the Ventura County Fairgrounds located at 10 West Harbor Boulevard, Ventura, California. The Bartender will play a critical role in ensuring beverage service excellence for all guests attending the fair. Paying between $16.90 and $20.00 per hour plus tips, this role offers a competitive wage for a skilled professional able to thrive in fast-paced, customer-focused environments.
As a Bartender, you will be responsible for preparing and serving all beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, adhering strictly to safety and legal regulations. - high school diploma or GED preferred
- bartending school preferred
- accurate cash handling skills required
- ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and long hours

Job Duties
- Demonstrate the ability to meet company standards for guest service, interaction with co-workers, and uniform standards
- follow bar pre-shift notes and bar menus and provide service as described
- serve alcoholic beverages following all proper procedures including state and federal regulations
- learn about various beer, wine varieties and spirits and suggestively upsell products to guests
- pour drinks responsibly in accordance with company standards for serving size
- check guest's ID in accordance with state and federal regulations to verify minimum age requirement
- communicate a cut-off to a guest as required
- listen and respond to customer requests or concerns
