The Bartender role at Acrisure Arena, under the Oak View Group umbrella, is a dynamic and customer-focused position. As a bartender, you will be responsible for crafting and serving a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in a fast-paced, event-driven environment. This job requires a professional and personable attitude, the ability to work collaboratively with team members, and excellent communication skills to ensure an outstanding guest experience. Working as a part-time bartender, you will enjoy the benefit of an hourly wage of $20.00, with the added advantage of being tip eligible.
Your primary focus will be on providing excellent beverage service while adhering to legal regulations including state and federal laws related to alcohol distribution. You will learn and become knowledgeable about the different varieties of beer, wine, and spirits available at the venue, enabling you to upsell effectively and enhance guest satisfaction. Maintaining a clean and sanitary workspace and ensuring all bar equipment is well-maintained will be part of your routine responsibilities. Bartenders at OVG are expected to manage guest interactions professionally, deescalating situations involving intoxicated individuals, and involving management when necessary.
Additionally, the role involves preparing the bar before shifts, restocking supplies, managing the bar cash bank accurately, and assisting with setup and breakdown of bar equipment. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and long hours is essential due to the nature of live entertainment events. This role not only demands alcohol service expertise but also excellent multitasking abilities and a strong commitment to hospitality excellence.

Job Requirements
- Six months or more experience bartending
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Accurate cash handling skills required
- Ability to prioritize tasks under pressure
- Ability to be self-directed and work within a team
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and long shifts
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.

Job Duties
- Demonstrate ability to meet the company standard for excellence in guest service, interaction with co-workers, and uniform standards
- Follow the bar pre-shift notes and bar menus to provide beverage service as described
- Serve alcoholic beverages following all proper procedures and comply with state and federal alcohol regulations
- Learn and have knowledge of various beer, wine varieties, and spirits available, and upsell products to guests
- Pour drinks responsibly according to company serving size standards
- Check guests’ IDs in accordance with legal requirements to verify minimum age for alcohol purchase
- Communicate a cut-off to guests as required
- Listen and respond to customer requests or concerns
- De-escalate intoxicated guest situations and contact management or security if necessary
- Maintain clean and sanitary workstation and ensure bar equipment is clean and well maintained
- Manage the issued bank at the bar and handle cash transactions accurately
- Restock and request additional products as needed
- Assist with setting up and breaking down bar equipment, and organize cooler as required
- Contact management if decisions exceed standard decision-making scope
- Perform other duties as assigned.
