Job Description

The Oak View Group is currently seeking a highly capable and proactive Assistant General Manager for the Ford Idaho Center located in Nampa, Idaho. This is a full-time position that offers an annual salary range between $75,000 and $95,000. The role plays a critical part in assisting the General Manager in overseeing the day-to-day efficient, professional, and profitable operations of the venue’s catering and concessions departments. This position requires strong leadership abilities, strategic thinking, and hands-on management skills to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and organizational policies.

The Assistant General Manager is responsible for supervising various managerial, full-time, and part-time staff members, making sure that labor laws, sanitation standards, food safety regulations, and alcohol service policies are strictly adhered to. This role involves active coaching, training, mentoring, and counseling of employees to maintain high standards of quality and service. The Assistant General Manager independently manages all facets of employee relations, including hiring, termination, discipline, promotion, and conflict resolution, fostering a positive and cooperative work environment.

Key responsibilities include managing catered and concession events from setup to breakdown, ensuring seamless communication between hourly staff, culinary teams, and guests. The role demands sharp financial acumen to generate, analyze, and interpret financial reports such as revenue analyses, labor and product cost controls, and profit and loss statements. The Assistant General Manager must also work collaboratively with the General Manager to plan staffing based on sales trends and market demographics, program point-of-sale systems for accurate reporting, and engage in contract management and policy development.

This position requires a flexible, event-driven work schedule, including availability for evenings and weekends. Candidates must exhibit professional presentation, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to make sound decisions independently in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will bring 3-5+ years of food industry management experience along with relevant certifications and a strong background in business or hospitality management.

Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of concessions locations and facility access
  • Valid Food Handlers certificate
