Job Description

Oak View Group (OVG) is a global leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services, established in 2015. The company specializes in venue development and management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. OVG operates and partners with some of the most iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions across four continents. The company’s approach integrates innovative venue concepts with top-tier service offerings to create unforgettable experiences for fans, artists, and clients alike. At the heart of OVG’s success is a commitment to excellence, inclusivity, and fostering a diverse workplace that reflects the communities it serves.

Located at the Ford Idaho Center in Nampa, Idaho, the Assistant General Manager role offers a full-time opportunity with a competitive annual salary range of $75,000 to $95,000. This position plays a vital role in the efficient and profitable operation of the venue's food and beverage services, particularly catering and concessions. The Assistant General Manager works closely with the General Manager, assisting in overseeing all managerial, full-time, and part-time staff while ensuring strict compliance with labor laws, food sanitation regulations, and alcohol service policies.

This role requires strong leadership and interpersonal skills to supervise, coach, mentor, and direct employees in maintaining company quality standards and a positive work environment. The Assistant General Manager holds significant responsibility, including employment decisions such as hiring, termination, and discipline, ensuring a cooperative and compliant work atmosphere. Given the event-driven nature of the venue, evening and weekend availability is essential. The position demands open availability, professional presentation, and an ability to make sound decisions independently.

Key responsibilities include managing catering and concessions operations, monitoring alcohol service compliance during events, and coordinating communication between staff, culinary teams, and guests. Financial oversight is crucial, involving analysis of revenue, projections, labor costs, wage control, and preparation of profit and loss statements. The Assistant General Manager also plays a pivotal role in policy development, contract management, labor scheduling, and staffing projections based on sales trends and market data.

Candidate qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field with preference given to those with accounting coursework. Experience in food service or concessions management, certifications from recognized industry organizations, and advanced knowledge of food safety and alcohol service protocols are required. The ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, handle conflict resolution, and maintain operational integrity is essential to success in this role.

Oak View Group is committed to diversity and inclusion, fostering an environment that embraces different perspectives to drive innovation and excellence. As an equal opportunity employer, OVG ensures fair treatment of all employees and applicants without discrimination. Benefits for this role include health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with matching, and paid time off including vacation, sick days, and holidays.
