As part of its continuing efforts to enhance educational opportunities, Mount Pleasant Elementary School operates a Title 1 program designed to support students through targeted family engagement and academic interventions. This program is funded under Title 1, ensuring additional resources and support are available to students who require extra assistance to achieve grade-level proficiency. The school prides itself on creating an inclusive, respectful environment that values the input and collaboration of parents and community members.Headquartered within this vibrant educational setting, the Nashua School District is looking to hire a Title 1 Blast-Off Family Engagement Coordinator for its summer school program running from July 13 to August 7, 2026. This part-time, seasonal role offers a unique opportunity to positively impact student learning during the summer months in a structured, supportive academic environment. The position is located directly at Mount Pleasant Elementary School and is designed to improve family engagement through coordinating and implementing strategies that encourage parental involvement and support in their child’s learning journey. The role reports to both the Director of Title 1 and the School Principal, ensuring alignment with broader district educational goals and policies. Compensation for this position is $32.30 per hour during summer school hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM).The Title 1 Blast-Off Family Engagement Coordinator's primary function revolves around coordinating curriculum delivery and engaging families to bolster students’ academic success. The individual serving in this position will be responsible for the implementation of teaching strategies based on grade-level expectations that actively engage students in meaningful, critical thinking-oriented lessons. Responsibilities include ensuring that students are respected and motivated to succeed without tolerating failure, fostering a positive and professional interaction with students and their families, and encouraging collaborative participation that aligns with the district’s instructional standards and goals. The successful candidate will be adept at differentiating instruction to meet diverse student needs and contribute to an educational climate where active learning thrives. Emphasis is placed on continual improvement through professional growth aimed at refining teaching practices, lesson planning, and efficient time management during the summer school session.The coordinator will also play a pivotal role in cultivating strong family-school partnerships by coordinating events and activities that increase parent involvement, providing families with resources and information needed to support their children’s academic progress. This role requires a professional who can balance instructional expertise with interpersonal skills, ensuring that families feel welcomed, informed, and engaged throughout the short summer program. Additionally, preference will be given to applicants holding ESOL certification, as the ability to support English language learners and their families aligns with the district’s commitment to equity and access. Applications require a detailed submission including a letter of interest, resume, official transcripts (graduate and undergraduate), three letters of recommendation, and a copy of NH certification.
