BJ's Wholesale Club is a leading American membership-only warehouse club chain operating on the East Coast with more than 30,000 dedicated team members. The company is renowned for its commitment to helping families save money on everyday essentials by providing high-quality products at wholesale prices. BJ's Wholesale Club values its employees as the cornerstone of its success and offers a comprehensive and supportive work environment built on purpose, opportunity, and growth. Their extensive team contributions span from stocking shelves and assisting customers to strategic decision-making, all of which help maintain BJ's reputation as a trusted name in wholesale retail. The work culture emphasizes integrity, collaboration, and customer service, making it a rewarding place for team members who want to make a meaningful impact.
The role being offered is a Tire Technician position that includes a $1,000 sign-on bonus for shifts Friday through Monday from 9:45 AM to 6:45 PM. This position is focused on assisting BJ's members with tire selection and purchase, installing and repairing tires correctly, and maintaining tire bay policies and safety standards. Tire Technicians are responsible for supporting the overall member experience by ensuring all services around tires are performed accurately and efficiently. Responsibilities include tire mounting, dismounting, rotating, balancing, propane tank filling (when certified), and maintaining clean and organized work areas. This position also requires coordination with the Home Office for special tire orders and completing tire bay documentation properly.
Team members in this role must act with honesty and focus on member satisfaction, embracing inclusion and diversity while working collaboratively. The company encourages fast, friendly, and professional service with a commitment to safety and environmental standards. As a Tire Technician at BJ's, the employee will work in an environment exposed to various weather conditions, often standing and moving while handling physical tasks that may involve lifting and using specialized equipment. This role requires passing through specific training levels within three months of hire and demands strong interpersonal skills as well as basic computer competency.
BJ's Wholesale Club offers employees a comprehensive benefits package designed to support overall well-being, including weekly pay, free memberships for the club and household members, generous paid time off, flexible and affordable health plans, retirement savings options with company match, and the chance to participate in an employee stock purchase plan. Such benefits enhance the work-life balance and financial security for team members, reinforcing BJ's commitment to fostering an inclusive and growth-oriented workplace. This role is ideally suited for candidates who value teamwork, accountability, and providing excellent customer service within a dynamic retail environment. The starting salary for this position is $17.50 per hour, reflecting BJ's dedication to competitive compensation.
