The role at Boyd Gaming involves coordinating and facilitating all food preparation, presentation, and service procedures under the direction of the Executive Chef. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that the food service operations meet high standards for quality, efficiency, and compliance with safety requirements. The responsible individual will oversee both the culinary and operational aspects of the kitchen, ensuring that the food served matches the company’s quality and presentation expectations. This role requires vigilant monitoring of food quantity and quality, managing proper food rotation to reduce waste, and supervising the kitchen staff to maintain peak performance and cleanliness in the kitchen and storage areas.

As part of the kitchen leadership team, the candidate will monitor staffing levels, handle early out requests and overtime, and delegate work assignments to kitchen personnel. They will also be responsible for enforcing health and safety standards rigorously and ensuring compliance with all sanitation protocols. The role entails supervising the preparation of Asian cuisine specifically to guarantee that its consistency, flavor, presentation, and portion control meet the required standards. This position demands a strong leadership mindset, excellent organizational skills, and an ability to maintain a positive and productive working environment.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Relevant experience in food preparation and kitchen supervision
  • Knowledge of food safety standards
  • Ability to monitor and control food quality and quantity
  • Skills to manage staffing schedules and performance
  • Competence in delegating tasks and supervising employees
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within a kitchen or food service environment
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

Job Duties
