The Food and Beverage team at Hotel Celare is crucial in delivering outstanding service and guest satisfaction. The role involves the preparation and service of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, along with light meals, adhering closely to hotel specifications and standards. The team member must ensure a flexible schedule, including availability on weekends, holidays, and varied shifts, which supports continuous operations within the Food and Beverage Department. This position emphasizes compliance with daily operational procedures and maintenance of food safety and quality in line with both the hotel’s and franchise’s strict standards.

In this role, the employee is responsible for maintaining clean, well-stocked outlets, equipment, and ensuring safe and efficient workplace operations. Handling guest-related issues effectively with courteous communication is an essential part of the job, as is the collaboration and clear communication with the General Manager, department managers, supervisors, and team members. Job Requirements

  • Minimum one year of experience in the restaurant or food and beverage field
  • minimum state age requirement to serve alcoholic beverages
  • high school graduate or equivalent
  • ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • ability to communicate effectively with guests management and co-workers
  • availability to work flexible schedule including weekends holidays and varied shifts
  • compliance with food safety and alcohol awareness training recommended

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of experience in the restaurant or food and beverage field
  • minimum state age requirement to serve alcoholic beverages
  • ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests management and co-workers
  • high school graduate or equivalent some college preferred
  • ServSafe and/or food safety training a plus
  • alcohol awareness training such as TIPS
  • familiarity with food and beverage cost controls
  • ability to accurately compute basic mathematical calculations
  • bilingual English/Spanish a plus
  • knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele

Job Duties

  • Be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends holidays and varied shifts
  • ensure compliance with and completion of all daily operational procedures by the Food and Beverage Department
  • maintain food and beverage safety and quality based on hotel Shaner and franchise specifications
  • maintain and abide by standards and procedures for operations and safe working conditions in the department
  • respond and handle guest related issues pertaining to the department
  • ensure communication with General Manager all other Department Managers Supervisors and Staff
  • take orders prepare and serve alcoholic non-alcoholic beverages and light meals to guests courteously and efficiently according to hotel specifications
  • maintain stock supplies and cleanliness of outlet and equipment
  • perform other duties as assigned
