This particular role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of the dynamic team at Hotel Celare, a Marriott Tribute Portfolio hotel located at the heart of Cincinnati's innovation corridor. This hotel proudly overlooks the University of Cincinnati and offers easy access to downtown Cincinnati. Situated in The District at Clifton Heights, a lively neighborhood known for its cultural richness, creativity, and community spirit, Hotel Celare offers an inviting space where guests can enjoy a mixture of vibrant urban energy and modern comfort.

Hotel Celare features thoughtfully designed interior spaces that reflect a modern and energetic atmosphere, creating an inviting environment for both guests and locals. The lobby is dynamic and lively, while sunlit event spaces open onto a wraparound terrace ideal for hosting various occasions. The hotel is home to celebrated culinary experiences like The Vick Rooftop Bar and Iris Café, both of which serve diverse food and beverage offerings to an enthusiastic audience. Amenities also include a 24/7 fitness center, and the surrounding area offers numerous shops and cafes, encouraging guests to explore and connect with the local culture.

The role itself centers on the Food and Beverage Department, requiring a flexible schedule that includes weekends, holidays, and various shifts. The employee will ensure compliance with daily operational procedures, food and beverage safety and quality standards based on hotel, Shaner, and franchise specifications. Additionally, the role involves maintaining safe working conditions, addressing guest-related issues, and ensuring effective communication with the General Manager, department managers, supervisors, and staff. Duties include taking orders and preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages along with light meals to guests efficiently and courteously, maintaining stock and supplies, and ensuring the cleanliness of the outlet and equipment.

Candidates should bring at least one year of experience in the restaurant or food and beverage field and meet the state’s minimum age requirement to serve alcoholic beverages. The ability to read and interpret procedural and safety documents and effectively communicate with guests, management, and co-workers is essential. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with some college preferred. Additional credentials such as ServSafe or food safety training and alcohol awareness training (e.g., TIPS) are advantageous. Knowledge of food and beverage cost controls and basic mathematical skills is necessary. Being bilingual in English and Spanish as well as familiarity with local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele are considered pluses.

Joining the team at Hotel Celare means becoming part of Cincinnati's newest hospitality experience where innovation meets high-quality service. This position is an invitation to explore, connect, and thrive within a vibrant community and a forward-thinking hotel brand that prides itself on creating memorable experiences for every guest. The culture here fosters collaboration, creativity, and continuous growth for employees who are passionate about hospitality and guest satisfaction. This is a great opportunity for those who want to make a difference in a dynamic environment and be part of something extraordinary in the hospitality industry.
