  • physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects
  • ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently during peak times
  • strong communication skills with team members and supervisors

Job Duties

  • Prepare ingredients and components for dishes according to the menu
  • ensure all ingredients are fresh and stored properly
  • follow recipe specifications and portion control guidelines
  • cook food items according to standardized recipes ensuring consistency and quality
  • assemble dishes according to chef's or customer's specifications
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen including utensils and equipment
  • follow Vermont health and safety regulations regarding food handling and sanitation
  • monitor inventory levels and assist in receiving deliveries
  • report equipment malfunctions to management
  • work efficiently with other kitchen and service staff
  • ensure clear communication between back of house and front of house staff
  • assist in training new back of house staff
  • comply with all food safety regulations
  • maintain knowledge of allergy protocols and dietary restrictions
  • follow workplace safety procedures to avoid accidents and injuries
  • clock in to shift on time and ready to work
