Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to work varying schedules including nights, weekends and holidays
  • ability to perform prolonged periods of sitting and computer work
  • capacity to stand, walk, bend, reach and carry items weighing 10-25 pounds
  • good verbal and written communication skills
  • basic computer proficiency
  • ability to manage cash transactions accurately

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in customer service or the hospitality industry preferred
  • strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • ability to use computer systems effectively
  • attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions
  • ability to work as part of a team
  • adaptability to varying schedules including nights, weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Greet and communicate cordially with guests
  • promptly and professionally check guests in and out of the hotel
  • assist in pre-registration and blocking of reservations when necessary
  • promptly, accurately and efficiently post all charges
  • have complete working knowledge of front office computer or manual system, including all daily and non-routine transactions
  • accurately manage cash handling, including receiving payments and making change correctly
  • review reservations with special requests and block rooms accordingly
  • have knowledge of hotel rates, discounts and how to handle each
  • have working knowledge of reservations and procedures, including taking same-day reservations, knowing cancellation procedures and relocation procedures when necessary
