Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to work varying schedules including nights, weekends and holidays
- ability to perform prolonged periods of sitting and computer work
- capacity to stand, walk, bend, reach and carry items weighing 10-25 pounds
- good verbal and written communication skills
- basic computer proficiency
- ability to manage cash transactions accurately
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in customer service or the hospitality industry preferred
- strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- ability to use computer systems effectively
- attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions
- ability to work as part of a team
- adaptability to varying schedules including nights, weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Greet and communicate cordially with guests
- promptly and professionally check guests in and out of the hotel
- assist in pre-registration and blocking of reservations when necessary
- promptly, accurately and efficiently post all charges
- have complete working knowledge of front office computer or manual system, including all daily and non-routine transactions
- accurately manage cash handling, including receiving payments and making change correctly
- review reservations with special requests and block rooms accordingly
- have knowledge of hotel rates, discounts and how to handle each
- have working knowledge of reservations and procedures, including taking same-day reservations, knowing cancellation procedures and relocation procedures when necessary
