This particular position is a part-time role at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel, specifically aligned with the food and beverage department. Job Duties
- Welcome all guests to the restaurant
- introduce the guest to the menu and the specials
- maintain daily setup and or breakdown of the restaurant by following daily checklists
- know each menu item and its ingredients
- be aware of events in the area
- follow and maintain health department specs
- complete daily cleaning duties and side work tasks
- report to work on time and follow department attendance policy
- participate in department meetings and communicate with management and other staff
- display positive, courteous and polite attitude and work well with others
- take pride in appearance and wear proper uniform
- resolve guest concerns or department issues independently
- utilize time well and be productive throughout shift
- look for ways to save money by reducing waste and controlling expenses
- maintain a clean work area and follow hotel recycling policies
- attend TIPS training and card guests who appear under 40 years old
- be comfortable to pour wine, beer or make a mixed drink when a bartender is not present
- answer telephones and take to go orders
- actively care for each guest according to AHC guest service standards and department standards
- monitor food waste
- maintain restaurant cleanliness and perform deep cleaning as needed
- communicate with management or team members
- follow hotel green policies and AHC and health department specifications
