Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in an independent restaurant preferred
  • Previous lead cook or key holder experience
  • Food safety knowledge or certification preferred
  • Ability to work in standing position for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to reach, bend, and stoop regularly
  • Fluent in English
  • Must have stable transportation to and from work
  • Authorized to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a lead cook or kitchen manager
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and certification preferred
  • Experience in ordering, receiving, and inventory management
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to follow written recipes and instructions accurately
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure
  • Experience in an independent restaurant preferred

Job Duties

  • Manage kitchen staff and supervise daily kitchen operations
  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes
  • Order, receive, and maintain inventory of kitchen supplies
  • Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met
  • Train and motivate kitchen employees
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen area
  • Collaborate with management to optimize kitchen workflow and customer satisfaction
