Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Previous beverage experience preferred
- Comfortable kneeling, carrying, bending, walking and standing for extended periods
- Work typically conducted in areas possibly hot, cold, noisy and with secondhand smoke
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods
- Ability to respond promptly to emergencies and incidents
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Constant contact with team members and guests
Job Qualifications
- Ability to read and speak English
- Communicate effectively with guests, team members and management in both written and verbal form
- Knowledge of property and amenities
- Understanding of Fremont Street Experience to assist guests
- Ability to work well with all departments
- Ability to supervise multiple properties
- Understand and comply with company, departmental and Gaming Control Board rules and regulations, policies and procedures
- Ability to multitask
- Availability to work any day of the week and any shift including weekends, holidays, special events and concerts
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members and guests
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Ability to obtain required work cards
Job Duties
- Schedule, train and evaluate beverage staff appearance and guest service follows service standards
- Resolve guest complaints
- Interview, hire and fire employees
- Practice, support and promote the company service standards at all times
- Oversee beverage operations
- Greet and welcome all guests in a pleasant and professional manner
- Initiate and engage in conversation in a professional and friendly manner with guests
- Manage escalated guest interaction
- Work well with beverage servers, bartenders, barbacks, beverage supervisor and slots supervisor
- Adhere to responsible alcohol service standards
- Successfully slow down or cut off intoxicated guests when necessary
- Rally team during heavy shifts
- Resolve conflicts
- Order adequate supplies of liquor and non-alcoholic drinks
- Maintain sufficient inventory
- Lead beverage department team members through coaching, teaching and training
- Document actions as necessary
- Investigate guest complaints related to beverage services
