It is recognized as one of the largest U.S. suppliers of safety products and a top supplier of ammonia products and process chemicals. With a workforce of 18,000 associates, Airgas fosters a culture centered around safety, customer success, sustainability, and innovation. As a subsidiary of Air Liquide—a global leader in gases, technologies, and services for various industries and healthcare—Airgas operates in 60 countries and serves more than 4 million customers and patients worldwide.

The role of TGM Technician at Airgas is a critical position based in the City of Hope, CA, with responsibilities that extend across multiple locations including El Monte, Glendale, North Hollywood, Pomona, and Santa Fe Springs. This full-time role offers a competitive hourly wage of $27 to $30, with work schedules primarily from Monday to Friday, starting as early as 4:30 AM, and occasional weekend support. As a TGM Technician, you will be responsible for supporting distribution and handling deliveries on campus and to various user locations. Your core duties will include providing liquid and compressed gas cylinders via Airgas trucks, coordinating cylinder inventory at customer sites, and building strong client relationships by addressing customer needs while maintaining a safe work environment. The role is designed for full-time attendance at customer sites, involving collaboration with customers to manage gas cylinder inventory levels and adapting to seasonal demands.

Additional responsibilities include documenting cylinder gas usage, organizing empty cylinders, rotating non-specialty gas products, conducting scheduled rounds to maintain inventory levels, and performing cylinder audits. You will be required to handle pickup and return of empty cylinders, monitor gas deliveries for accuracy, and change out gas/liquid cylinder manifolds as needed. Compliance with facility guidelines and safety regulations including SAFECOR, HS&E, JHACO, CGMP, and OSHA is mandatory. The role also involves contributing to workflow procedures, assessing challenging situations with teamwork, and providing emergency support to ensure uninterrupted product supply.

The organization offers comprehensive family and individual benefits such as medical, dental, vision care, life insurance, AD&D, disability coverage, and paid parental leave up to 14 weeks. Employees enjoy future security with a 401(k) retirement plan with company match, tuition assistance, paid holidays, vacation, and sick time. Benefits start after just 30 days of employment, reflecting the company’s commitment to employee wellness.
