The company plays a pivotal role in advancing mobility, connectivity, computing power, and energy efficiency by offering ultra-pure carrier gases, specialty gases, and advanced precursor molecules. Alongside these materials, Air Liquide supplies equipment for safe distribution, purification, and on-line purity control. Manufacturers rely on Air Liquide's expertise to manage gases and chemicals fully, ensuring uninterrupted, safe, and efficient production processes and helping to optimize these processes continuously.
The Total Gas & Chemical Management (TGCM) Operations group supports semiconductor manufacturing customers by providing safe, reliable, and cost-effective management of the essential gases and chemicals required daily in electronics production. This high-demand service involves operating and maintaining complex gas and chemical distribution equipment and systems 24/7 without interruption.
The Hazardous Waste Technician role, based in Dallas, TX, is an integral position within the TGCM team. This role primarily involves the safe and proper transfer of materials to hazardous waste storage, following strict procedures for maintenance, documentation, labeling, and equipment use. The technician ensures compliance with hazardous waste laws and supports waste minimization initiatives. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining liquid bulk and specialty gas or chemical delivery equipment, troubleshooting equipment issues, and performing daily inspections and monitoring tasks related to gas and chemical systems.
Additional tasks involve conducting bulk gas and chemical trailer transfers, reporting on quality incidents, product acceptance, inventory, safety parameters, and personnel requirements. The Hazardous Waste Technician also actively participates in the Emergency Response Team and supports training for junior technicians and contractors. The position requires a strong commitment to safety, including compliance with all health, safety, and environmental standards, proper use of personal protective equipment, and adherence to safety programs like Lock Out/Tag Out and Confined Space Entry.
Air Liquide offers this full-time position at a competitive hourly wage of $21.00, complemented by comprehensive family benefits such as medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, and disability insurance. The company supports growing families with a 14-week paid childbirth benefit and secures employees' futures through a 401(k) retirement plan with company match, tuition assistance, paid holidays, vacation, and sick time. Importantly, benefits coverage begins on day one, underscoring Air Liquide's commitment to employee well-being.
