The Territory Manager role at US Foods is a critical position that involves building and nurturing customer relationships, driving sales growth, and expanding the company's market presence. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One or more years of sales experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license with a motor vehicle record in good standing
  • Preferably experience in foodservice, culinary, restaurant management, or hospitality
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to build strong internal and external relationships
  • Cold calling skills
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Competitive mindset and goal-driven
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and negotiation skills
  • Teamwork mentality to collaborate with stakeholders
  • Tech-savviness including knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM tools like Salesforce

Job Duties

  • Be the customer champion by owning and nurturing customer relationships in a team-based selling model
  • Educate customers on ordering platforms and provide menu consultations, product recommendations, and pricing strategies
  • Drive sales success by increasing case growth, acquiring new business, and delivering impactful sales presentations
  • Work collaboratively with specialists, marketing, supply chain, and customer service to ensure seamless product delivery
  • Develop new business by identifying prospective customers through market intelligence, business directories, leads, and attending trade shows
  • Manage delivery resolution by troubleshooting order process problems
  • Stay informed on market conditions, product innovations, competitors' products, prices, and sales
  • Conduct regular check-ins, site visits, and follow-ups using personal vehicle to ensure customer satisfaction
