The company is dedicated not only to food distribution but also to offering comprehensive services tailored to enhance the profitability of its clients. US Foods distinguishes itself in the industry through an unwavering commitment to exceptional customer service, making it a trusted partner for businesses within the foodservice sector. Employing professionals who are passionate about driving success and fostering meaningful relationships, US Foods cultivates a work environment that values innovation, teamwork, and continuous development.
The Territory Manager position at US Foods is an exciting opportunity for sales professionals eager to build impactful relationships and contribute significantly to business growth within the foodservice industry. This role centers on nurturing existing customer accounts while actively seeking new business opportunities. As a Territory Manager, you will take ownership of customer relationships using a team-based selling model, delivering sales presentations, providing menu consultations, and offering expert product and pricing recommendations. The position requires effective management of your sales territory, requiring strategic planning and time management to maximize case growth and meet sales targets.
US Foods supports its Territory Managers with a comprehensive training program that includes extensive coaching, sales tools, and mentoring from experienced leaders. This support system is designed to ensure your long-term success and professional growth within the company. A Territory Manager is also expected to work collaboratively with internal teams such as marketing, supply chain, and customer service to guarantee seamless product delivery and an outstanding customer experience. Your role will also involve leveraging market intelligence and participating in industry events to identify new business leads and stay abreast of market trends and competitor activities.
This dynamic role mandates a proactive, customer-focused mindset, combined with a strong competitive spirit and exceptional interpersonal skills. Territory Managers will handle all aspects of customer service from order processing to resolving delivery issues. The work environment includes frequent travel within your assigned territory to conduct site visits and maintain close contact with customers. This position requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to attend meetings, site visits, and events regularly on your own transportation. Demonstrating tech-savviness, particularly proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM tools like Salesforce, will enhance your effectiveness in this role.
Working at US Foods means joining a supportive and dynamic team-based selling environment where your efforts are rewarded with a competitive salary and a market-leading, performance-based incentive program. Additional benefits include comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance from day one, 401(k) plan options, paid time off, and employee stock purchase programs. US Foods provides opportunities for career advancement in a thriving industry, allowing motivated individuals to grow and succeed in tandem with the company’s continuing expansion and evolving market needs.
