The company is committed to innovation, sustainability, and public health, leveraging science-based solutions, data-driven insights, and personalized customer service to improve operational efficiency while protecting vital resources around the world. Ecolab stands out due to its strong talent-first philosophy, cultivating a diverse and highly capable workforce of approximately 48,000 associates worldwide. This commitment ensures employees have access to leading technology, comprehensive training, and comprehensive resources to succeed in their roles and grow their careers.
The role of Territory Sales and Service Representative at Ecolab in Tacoma, Washington, offers an exciting opportunity to be the face of Ecolab within your assigned territory by managing customer relationships, servicing specialized equipment, and delivering customized solutions. In this position, you will work primarily in a field-based capacity supporting customers in industries like hospitality, foodservice, education, long-term care, and government. Your responsibilities will include servicing laundry and dish machines, dispensing equipment, and selling Ecolab’s innovative solutions tailored to help clients maintain clean, safe, and efficient operations. You will use advanced tools and mobile technology to enhance customer visits and demonstrate solutions effectively while utilizing your mechanical and problem-solving skills to conduct preventative and corrective equipment maintenance. Emergency service support and equipment installation are also key components of your role, and you will maintain control of company equipment, parts, and inventory to optimize operating costs.
This position requires travel within Tacoma and surrounding areas including Lakewood and Lacey, Washington. Initial training is both comprehensive and paid, including two weeks at the corporate headquarters in Eagan, Minnesota, focusing on safety, product knowledge, and technical skills. The role offers a rewarding independent work environment where you will have autonomy over your daily schedule while benefiting from best-in-class tools and safety programs. Ecolab supports its associates by providing a company service vehicle, cell phone, and coverage of fuel and related work expenses.
As part of Ecolab’s culture, this role enables you to contribute meaningfully to public health and sustainability efforts, shaping a cleaner environment for communities. There is a strong emphasis on career growth, with opportunities to advance toward specialized service roles, sales leadership, or management positions, supported by tuition reimbursement and ongoing professional development. The position demands flexibility including the ability to work overnight shifts and weekend rotations as required. Ecolab values diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity, fostering a workplace that promotes fairness and supports all associates in reaching their potential.
Compensation starts at an hourly rate of $25.00, reflecting various factors such as experience and geography. Beyond competitive pay, Ecolab offers an extensive benefits package effective from day one, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) matching, parental leave, and employee discount programs. This role is a perfect fit for dynamic individuals seeking a challenging yet supportive environment where they can build a long-term career while making a positive impact on the world through environmental stewardship, operational excellence, and customer success.
