Job Description
Ecolab is a global leader dedicated to helping create a safer, cleaner, and healthier world. With a rich history of over 100 years, Ecolab serves nearly three million customer sites worldwide, spanning industries such as food, healthcare, hospitality, and industrial markets across more than 170 countries. The company thrives on a talent-first philosophy, emphasizing the development of a diverse and capable workforce to drive innovation and operational excellence. With annual sales reaching $16 billion and a team of over 48,000 associates, Ecolab is committed to delivering comprehensive solutions that enhance efficiency, sustainability, and public health. The company fosters a culture of continuous learning, inclusion, and safety, ensuring all team members have the resources and support to succeed in a dynamic global marketplace.
Joining Ecolab's Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) team offers a unique opportunity to be part of the global leader in cleaning, sanitation, and food safety solutions tailored specifically for the Quick Service Restaurant industry. The QSR team specializes in developing customized programs and providing expert guidance that help improve restaurant operations by ensuring clean, safe, and efficient environments. Serving some of the largest limited-service and fast-casual restaurant brands worldwide, the team is made up of highly trained sales and service associates who are dedicated to delivering value-added services that maintain food safety standards and brand consistency.
The role of Territory Representative within the QSR team in Fremont, CA, is a vital customer-facing position. The representative will be responsible for implementing Ecolab's cutting-edge cleaning and sanitation programs, identifying food safety risks, and helping prevent foodborne illnesses. This position involves managing a designated territory’s customer base, driving sales growth through excellent service and introducing new products. Responsibilities include installing and maintaining critical equipment such as ware wash machines, water filtration systems, and sinks, as well as providing hands-on training and audits that promote operational success and customer satisfaction. The role requires frequent travel within the Fremont area and surrounding cities, with some overnight stays and weekend coverage.
Ecolab provides a supportive environment for this role, featuring a paid training program that includes job shadowing, e-learning, and classroom sessions to ensure comprehensive preparedness. Representatives are given company-paid vehicles for both business and personal use where applicable, and work schedules are managed independently within a culture that prioritizes safety through extensive training and personal protective equipment.
This field-based position offers a career path that is both challenging and rewarding, providing the opportunity to work with a respected global organization committed to diversity, growth, and impact. The compensation range is competitive, spanning $64,600 to $96,800 annually, which includes base pay and target incentives based on individual performance. Benefits are comprehensive and available from day one, encompassing medical, dental, vision, 401K matching, pension plans, stock purchase options, parental leave, and childcare resources, reflecting Ecolab’s commitment to employee wellbeing and work-life balance.
Ecolab is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities and values diverse perspectives, ensuring all voices contribute to the company’s ongoing success. This role is an ideal fit for candidates with a high school diploma or GED and experience in outside sales or related industries such as foodservice and hospitality. Candidates must also possess a valid driver’s license, be at least 21 years old, and be willing to handle emergency call assistance as needed. Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, mechanical and equipment troubleshooting skills, food safety knowledge or certification, and perhaps military or business-to-business sales experience.
By joining Ecolab’s QSR team as a Territory Representative, you will play a critical role in advancing food safety and operational efficiency within the fast-growing quick service restaurant sector, while developing your career in a global company passionate about growth, innovation, and making a positive societal impact.
