The company is currently seeking a Territory Representative in the Rochester, MN market to join its dedicated Global Quick Service Restaurant team. This role is field-based and customer-facing, primarily focused on delivering Ecolab's renowned cleaning and sanitation programs to QSR customers. The representative will be responsible for inspecting operations, identifying food safety risks, and proactively preventing foodborne illnesses by ensuring strict adherence to sanitation standards.
In this multifaceted position, you will manage a territory of customers and work to increase sales through exceptional service and the introduction of innovative products. You will be involved in installing and maintaining essential equipment such as ware wash machines, water filtration systems, and sinks in both new and existing establishments. Additionally, you will conduct site surveys to recommend enhancements, complete mandatory Ecolab QSR visit reports based on visit frequencies, and train customers on proper product and equipment usage. Relationship-building and customer satisfaction are paramount, as you will evaluate customer needs to identify sales opportunities and establish long-term partnerships.
The role requires travel within Rochester, MN, and surrounding suburbs, including 5-6 overnight stays per month and weekend coverage responsibilities once every 11 weeks. The compensation range for this position is $64,600 to $96,800 annually, comprising base pay and a target incentive contingent on performance. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Four years of outside sales or industry related experience in foodservice or hospitality
- Must be 21 years of age or older due to the nature and hours of the work
- A current and valid driver's license with no restrictions
- Availability to provide emergency call assistance including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must have proper documentation to fly such as a Real ID or other acceptable form of identification
- No immigration sponsorship available for this position
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Four years of outside sales or industry related experience in foodservice or hospitality
- A current and valid driver's license with no restrictions
- Availability to provide emergency call assistance including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Knowledge or experience in mechanical fields such as plumbing or electrical preferred
- Food safety knowledge or CP-FS certification preferred
- Previous business to business sales experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Military experience preferred
Job Duties
- Install equipment including ware wash machines, water filtration systems, 3-compartment and mop sinks for new and existing customers
- Maintain equipment and collateral to ensure proper function and appearance
- Complete site survey and make recommendations for improvements
- Complete required Ecolab QSR visit reports based on the customer's mandated visit frequency
- Facilitate the sale of Ecolab products by making suggestions for improvements with existing products and new innovations
- Train customers on use of Ecolab products and services
- Maintain positive relationships with customers by evaluating their needs with a focus on sales opportunities
