The Food Retail Services (FRS) division at Ecolab plays a crucial role in delivering cleaner, safer retail environments across over 55 countries. Serving a broad spectrum of grocery and retail customers—from local businesses to large, well-known brands—FRS equips stores with innovative cleaning products, food safety and compliance audits, and cutting-edge digital tools. This team acts as an integral part of the customers' food safety programs both at the corporate and store levels, ensuring maximum protection against foodborne illnesses through insights and operational excellence.

Ecolab is currently seeking a Territory Representative to join the Food Retail Services team in Philadelphia, PA. This field-based position involves managing a territory that includes Philadelphia, Newtown Square, PA, and Wilmington, DE. The Territory Representative’s responsibilities focus heavily on customer engagement and service excellence, including delivering industry-leading cleaning and sanitation programs, conducting food safety audits, and maintaining relationships to grow sales through existing products and new innovations. The role also requires hands-on installation and maintenance of equipment, as well as providing training to ensure customers successfully use Ecolab’s products and meet compliance standards.

Notably, the role supports an independent work environment where employees plan and manage their schedules. The company offers a paid training program that combines job shadowing, e-learning modules, field activities, and classroom training to effectively prepare representatives for success. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Four years of outside sales or industry-related experience
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Current and valid driver's license with no restrictions required
  • Availability for emergency call assistance nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Four years of outside sales or industry-related experience in foodservice, hospitality, or related fields
  • Valid driver's license with no restrictions
  • Ability to provide emergency call assistance during nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Mechanical experience including plumbing and electrical knowledge preferred
  • Food safety knowledge or CP-FS certification preferred
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Previous business-to-business sales experience preferred
  • Military experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Install and maintain equipment and collateral to ensure proper function and appearance
  • Complete food safety audits based on the customer's required visit frequency and evaluate each department for compliance
  • Facilitate the sale of Ecolab products by making suggestions for improvements with existing products and new innovations
  • Train customers on use of Ecolab products and services
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers by evaluating their needs with a focus on sales opportunities
