The Territory Manager role at US Foods is a critical position designed to build and maintain strong relationships with customers while driving sales and business growth. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • one year or more of sales experience preferred
  • valid driver’s license with good motor vehicle record
  • foodservice, culinary, restaurant management, or hospitality experience preferred
  • excellent oral and written communication skills
  • ability to build relationships and cold call to develop new business
  • exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Be the customer champion by owning and nurturing customer relationships in a team-based selling model
  • educate customers on ordering platforms and provide menu consultations, product recommendations, and pricing strategies
  • drive sales success by selling to customers, increasing case growth, and acquiring new business through impactful sales presentations tailored to individual customers
  • manage time and territory effectively
  • work collaboratively with specialists, marketing, supply chain, and customer service to assist with top penetration opportunities and new account openings
  • develop new business using market intelligence databases, business directories, existing client leads, trade shows, and conferences
  • manage deliveries according to the transportation department's routing schedule and troubleshoot order process issues
  • understand market conditions, product innovations, and competitor activity to share value-added information with customers
  • conduct regular check-ins, site visits, and follow-ups driving personal motor vehicle to ensure customer satisfaction
