Job Requirements

Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time up to 8 hours
Be able to lift up to 50 lbs, reach, bend and stoop

Job Qualifications

Previous restaurant experience preferred
Strong communication and listening skills
Pleasant, polite manner and a neat and clean appearance
Self-motivated and interested in taking on additional roles and responsibilities

Job Duties

Assist in all areas of service with a focus on running food and maintaining cleanliness of the restaurant
Know table numbers
Ensure each dish appears correctly prepared
Assist with side work before, during and after each shift
Stay aware of the dining room and be prepared to provide any item a guest requests
Maintain overall appearance of dining room and expo station
Deliver food promptly to guests and be able to describe and answer questions about each dish
Respond appropriately to guest requests/needs and communicate with servers and staff about all issues and requests
Communicate all 86’d items to staff and management
Offer assistance to coworkers as necessary including welcoming guests and running food
Greet guests promptly as they are seated and bring bread service if applicable
Remove used tableware between courses and package food requested to take away
Clear tables after guests leave and take tableware to dish room for washing
Clean table tops, chairs, booths and floor between seatings
Reset and arrange tabletop
Remove trash and recycling throughout the shift
Communicate with server and hostess to assure efficient seating, table utilization and customer service
Assist in polishing and restocking tableware especially during peak periods
Fill in as needed to ensure smooth operation as directed by restaurant manager
Prepare and serve coffee drinks and teas if assigned as Barista
Assist in daily cleaning of the restaurant before and after service
