The Center for Children and Families at Florida International University is currently seeking a Temporary Summer Treatment Program (STP) Front Desk Program Assistant to join their dedicated team of professionals. This temporary position is integral to the smooth operation of the Summer Treatment Program, serving as the primary point of contact for administrative duties throughout the program duration. The Program Assistant is responsible for a wide range of administrative tasks including tracking attendance, managing phone and email communications, handling program paperwork, and maintaining updated databases. Additionally, the role involves carrying out essential support functions such as administering first aid to campers and counselors as needed, creating documents and signage for camp use, and ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the office area on a daily basis. Maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality is a critical responsibility in this role. The successful candidate will work closely under the direction of the Program Coordinator and Clinical Directors of the STP to complete assigned duties effectively. This position operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM and offers an hourly wage of $15.00. While the role is temporary, it provides a valuable opportunity to gain experience in program coordination and administrative support within a reputable academic institution. Applicants should expect to engage in a criminal background check and fingerprinting as part of the hiring process. Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • assist with the day-to-day administrative tasks including confirming child attendance
  • assist with facilities and resolving issues
  • coordinate cleaning schedule
  • complete and file all necessary paperwork
  • track program purchases
  • place food and Fun Friday orders
  • order necessary materials and supplies for the Summer Treatment Program as needed
  • assist in managing phone and email inquiries for the Summer Treatment Program front office
  • collect and confirm attendance for each group on a daily basis
  • sign in and sign out all visitors in the front office
  • be responsible for late drop-off and early pick-up
  • interface with the Summer Treatment Program and school site staff to answer questions and provide supplies as necessary
  • perform other related duties as assigned or directed
