Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years culinary leadership experience
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and food preparation
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations
  • Effective communication skills

Job Duties

  • Assist the Executive Chef in the direction and oversight of all culinary operations including meal preparation, food quality and presentation, safety and sanitation compliance, team productivity, policy implementation, cost controls, and profitability
  • Create and implement menu selections for special banquet themes and events based on food trends and regional tastes in partnership with Executive Chef and Director of Food and Beverage
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local and company health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
  • Assist in monitoring and developing team member performance by providing supervision, counseling, evaluations, training, scheduling, assigning work, and delivering recognition and reward
