Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • proven experience in a culinary leadership role
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • knowledge of federal, state, and local health and safety regulations
  • strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items
  • valid food handler certification preferred

Job Qualifications

  • minimum of 2 years culinary leadership experience
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • experience in hotel or unionized culinary environments preferred
  • strong leadership and team management skills
  • creativity in menu planning
  • excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • passion for delivering exceptional hospitality

Job Duties

  • assist the executive chef in managing all culinary operations including meal preparation and production
  • ensure food quality and presentation meet the highest standards
  • maintain compliance with safety and sanitation regulations
  • support team member performance through supervision, training, and evaluation
  • create and implement menus for special banquet events
  • oversee cost control measures to ensure financial profitability
  • implement hotel culinary policies and procedures
