Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 30 hours/week availability Monday-Friday 8 am-5 pm local time
- Work hours spread across at least four days with a minimum of four consecutive hours per day
- Commitment to work early February through early April 2026
- Comfortable with technology, paperless workflows, and self-guided learning
- Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Professional demeanor and ability to manage confidential information
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience in individual tax return preparation preferred
- Ability to obtain a PTIN
- Minimum two seasons of tax preparation experience with 30 returns per year
- Prior tax preparation experience in a tax practice or retail setting
- Knowledge of tax laws, tax concepts, and Form 1040
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn quickly
- High attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment
Job Duties
- Enter client data and financial information into tax preparation software
- Prepare tax returns accurately, following firm policies and procedures
- Maintain client confidentiality in line with company protocols
- Provide real-time tax advice and troubleshooting via video and chat support
- Guide clients in gathering and organizing data for federal and state returns
- Analyze tax matters and offer accurate advice based on company policies and resources
- Review and follow up on customer callbacks and tax accuracy issues
- Prepare files for validation software and ensure proper organization
- Validate data and scanned documents for accuracy and input missing information
- Review and validate all parts of the K-1 for accuracy and input missing information
