Job Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience in individual tax return preparation preferred
  • Familiarity with basic accounting concepts preferred
  • Ability to obtain a PTIN
  • Availability: Minimum 30 hours/week (Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm local time)
  • Commitment to work early February through early April 2026
  • Comfortable with technology, paperless workflows, and self-guided learning
  • Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Professional demeanor and the ability to manage confidential information
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Minimum of two (2) seasons of tax preparation experience, with a minimum of 30 returns per year
  • PTIN required (can be obtained online)
  • Prior tax preparation experience in a tax practice or retail setting
  • Knowledge of tax laws, tax concepts, and Form 1040
  • Comfortable using audio/visual tools to communicate with clients
  • Strong problem-solving, research, and technical troubleshooting skills
  • High school diploma/GED preferred
  • Availability: Minimum 30 hours/week (Monday-Friday, 7 am-5 pm CST)
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn quickly
  • High attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team environment
